nfloffseason:
And with the 1st pick in the 2012 NFL Draft the Indianapolis Colts select ANDREW LUCK.
No surprises here, folks. Andrew Luck is about as sure of a thing as it gets in the NFL (there is no such thing a sure thing). Luck goes to the Colts where the cupboard is bare. They got Reggie Wayne back but who are the other play makers on offense? And what is Chuck Pagano’s new 3-4 defense going to look like?
The Colts keep their once in generation QB draft streak alive. They took John Elway (refused to play for them), Peyton Manning and now Luck. Wow.

I just realized that after this season, he still has a year of eligibility left.
It’s too bad he will leave early to go to the NFL.
I’d love to see him stay one more year.
Maybe it is just because I am not into the NFL like I am college.

The Capital One Cup Impact Performance poll:
How can you pick Case Keenum over Andrew Luck?
Case’s stats against Rice doesn’t mean as much to me.
I mean, come on, it’s Rice…

Peyton Manning hopes he will be able to play again this season and all Colts fans or Peyton fans do hope he gets better…
But in reality…
If Peyton stays out for the rest of the reason, the Colts will probably end up with the worst record in the league, meaning they will most likely get the first 1st round draft pick, MEANING they will draft Stanford QB Andrew Luck.
Andrew Luck will then have around 2 years to “study” behind a GREAT QB (Peyton Manning) before he retires and Andrew Luck can take over.
So…does it make you a horrible Colt’s fan when you hope that Peyton Manning will stay on the injured list for the rest of the season?
No, that makes you a SMART fan.
This is very similar to what happened to the Colts before they drafted Peyton Manning.
1996: finished with the worst record in the NFL.
1997: only won 3 games.
1998: drafted Peyton Manning in his rookie season he set a hand-full of rookie records, but only went 3-13
1999: finished 13-3
2000: 10-6 (regular season)
…
In 2006 they were Super Bowl Champions
