My name is Lindsay. I am 25 years old. Currently living in the state of Michigan.

I have alway been very athletic. Growing up I danced ballet, swam, played soccer, ran track and cross country, played water polo, snowboarded, wakeboarded, longboarded, etc. In high school I was on the varsity swim team and varsity water polo team.

However, my passion for college football and basketball was greater than the sports I would actually be apart of. It all started when I was young. I was a daddy’s girl, and we would always watch college football and basketball together. I was actually born and raised as a Michigan Wolverine fan, but after I graduated high school in 2006, I “betrayed” my family by attending Michigan State University instead.

I went to MSU for studio art but transferred to Lansing Community College and graduated in May of 2009 with a photography degree (which I have done absolutely nothing with).

While in college, my passion for college athletics grew. I became obsessed with Michigan State football and basketball. Not only would I go to the games or make sure I watched them on TV or the computer, but I also would read article after article about Michigan State, Big Ten, or college football/basketball. I would constantly post sports articles on my Facebook. My friends started to get annoyed and one suggested that I start a sports blog.

While in college, I worked at a skateboard/snowboard shop in Lansing from 2007 - 2012. I worked my way up in that company: sales associate > key holder > assistant manager > co-manager > manager > manger & buyer. But I realized that I couldn't move up any further in the company, and I wasn't making enough to live, so I quit.

At the end of the summer of 2012, I moved back to my hometown, went through a quarter-life crisis, and decided to go back to school. I went to the University of Michigan-Flint studying Communications. While I was attending UM-Flint, I became the Vice President of the club football team. Being apart of that program really pointed me in the direction to pursue a career in Sports Management/Administration field.

In the fall, I am transferring to the University of Alabama. I am going to major in Exercise Science, and eventually pursue a masters degree in Sports Management/Administration. I chose Alabama over other schools because I loved how their campus and the city of Tuscaloosa reminded me of Michigan State and East Lansing. Plus everyone lives and dies by football down there, which is exactly how I am. I felt that it was time for a chance and I had nothing holding me back here in Michigan (other than friends and family).

I have had this blog since February of 2010 and I never would've through it would become this. The following that I have on Tumblr and the fact I was asked to link my blog to Twitter and Facebook for people who don't have a Tumblr is just crazy to me. I honestly didn't think I would stick to it at first, but it has helped me stay engaged in the sports world, even during the off season of college football and basketball. It has caused me to start watching the NFL and NBA to keep up with players I watched in college.

On top of all of that, I have met so many great people through this blog. I couldn't ask for a better hobby to have.

Kansas City police: Chiefs player shoots girlfriend and himself

A 25-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player shot his girlfriend early Saturday, then drove to Arrowhead Stadium and turned the gun on himself as two team officials were confronting him, police said.

Kansas City police Supervisor Andrea Khan would not release the name of the player involved and the condition of the two parties was not immediately known.

Undrafted MSU players sign deals with NFL teams.

Mark Dell (WR) signed with the Denver Broncos.

Eric Gordon (LB) signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

D.J. Young (DT) signed with the Arizona Cardinals.

Charlie Gantt (TE) signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Even though I’m bummed none of them are on the Colts, I am stoked they all got deals.
